Over the past year we have partnered with several humanitarian and development organizations navigating the same question: how to adopt AI without exposing sensitive data or outpacing their teams' capacity to absorb it. Across these engagements we reviewed digital readiness, developed usage policies, evaluated AI tools against real workflows, delivered hands-on training tailored to different teams, and built staged adoption plans that meet each organization where they are.

LWF World Service needed to replace a project management system that staff had stopped trusting. We interviewed teams across headquarters and country offices, defined 102 user requirements, and evaluated 56 tools to find what would actually fit their reporting needs and results framework.

HFHI's EMEA region needed an M&E system that worked across five country offices with different tools, workflows, and reporting standards. We interviewed 25 staff, documented functional requirements, then evaluated 24 vendors against 37 scoring criteria to give them a clear path to choosing the right platform.

LWF World Service had a digital framework and a capable technical team, but delivery was siloed, governance was informal, and application rollouts lacked consistent support models. We reviewed the full digital landscape, proposed a service delivery structure that treats the IT unit as an internal consulting team, and provided hands-on support across platforms, security, and governance.

MSF wanted an independent assessment of whether their Shared IT Services unit was delivering value for money compared to what the market could offer. We evaluated their services across security, license management, cloud hosting, and SaaS delivery, then presented findings and recommendations to the SITS board.

The UNCCD Global Mechanism needed a unified monitoring approach across its Great Green Wall projects to track restoration progress, align reporting with national agencies, and turn project data into usable knowledge for stakeholders across the Sahel. We delivered a monitoring framework, optimized the GGW Observatory platform, and built training and knowledge-sharing infrastructure in English and French.

UNCCD's Global Mechanism needed a way to manage and visualize data across its portfolio of land restoration projects. We ran stakeholder consultations, designed a data entry system with built-in validation, and built an interactive dashboard connecting project data to maps and visualizations.

DRC's Turkey team was handling feedback and complaints manually, which meant cases were hard to track and reporting across sectors was inconsistent. We designed and built a digital system with role-based workflows, 9 triage routes, and real-time dashboards so every piece of feedback gets captured, routed, and resolved.

We partnered with LWF World Service over multiple years to build a centralized data warehouse connecting 9 country offices. The platform integrates Apache Airflow, Apache Superset, and SurveyCTO into a single pipeline from mobile data collection through to real-time dashboards.

DDG's Yemen team needed to bring their mine action data into compliance with national and international standards, and see it on a map. We digitized seven field collection forms, built a GIS with interactive mapping, and integrated Kobo Toolbox for real-time data capture. Staff training and long-term support ensured the system stayed in their hands.
